I was working with a client on a crafting a LinkedIn post this morning.
We’re trying to find ways to make the posts express his real feelings and spark a genuine response in his audience.
‘Looking at an empty screen scares me,’ my client said. ‘I don’t know how I’m going to fill it.’
Because I’m used to writing to deadlines, I don’t have that problem.
But sometimes writing can come too easily. Especially if you want to connect rather than just sell.
That’s when it’s good to be a little bit afraid of the empty screen and the blinking cursor. As long as you don’t run away from the words.
