In July 2024 I decided to take time out from copywriting and concentrate on the book I’m writing about Lou Reed’s Metal Machine Music.

Since then, partly inspired by Lou Reed’s example, I’ve learned that it really does pay to concentrate all your energies on what you care the most about. I’m more than halfway through my book and wallowing in the pure pleasure of only writing what I want when I want.
